CAE JUNIOR ANALIST – TSI AVIATION SEATS
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Inspect geometrical data (3D) delivered from designers prior to Pre-Processing.
• Prepare meshing of the components and verifying the FE model as per TSI FE guideline.
• Prepare the model for static, quasi static and impact simulation for 14G and 16G loading conditions.
• Perform linear/non-linear static analysis, dynamic analysis, modal checks and fatigue analysis. Support analysis works with a testing.
• Monitor test results and correlate with FEA results to ensure to have a representative and validated engineering FE model.
• Prepare Post processing.
• Define the test needs for the TSI seat qualification and development and pre-certification to provide for a reliable phase during the certification phase.
• Ensure the compliance with TSI procedures and certification internal procedures.
• Consolidate the test data in the test reports and prepare the stress sheets and reports.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
A) Knowledge and skills:
• Knowledge of structural mechanics and fatigue.
• Knowledge of FE theory is desired.
• Experience with Hyperworks, SpaceClaim, LS-Dyna required. Knowledge of ABAQUS is a plus.
• Ability to do hand calculations for a quick validation is a plus.
• Knowledge of composites is preferred.
• Self-motivated and a self-starter.
• Communicate efficiently in writing and verbally.
• Excellent oral and written English language skills are required.
• Ability to travel for mentoring and/or customer interface, sometimes at short notice.
Education and/or Experience:
Must have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Aeronautical Engineering or related. Requires 1 year of Finite Element Analysis related experience.
