ENGLISH EXAM DATES FOR NEW REGISTERED STUDENTS

Dear Students,

Welcome to Işık University!

Please find below the details and schedule regarding the English Placement and Proficiency Exams organized by the School of Foreign Languages (SFL).

⚠️ IMPORTANT NOTICE:

  • This announcement applies only to newly enrolled students in English-medium programs and previously registered Preparatory School students.
  • Students with "Freshman" status do NOT need to consider this email.(you can check your status on E-Campus)
  • Please note that these exams will be repeated in October for students who are unable to attend this session.

📌 1. English Placement Exam

  • Date: 7 September 2026 (Face-to-face)
  • Time: 10:00 – 12:00
  • Location: Şile Campus, SFL Building (Classroom and student lists will be available at the building entrance.)
  • Details: Attendance is mandatory for newly enrolled English-medium department students and students who wish to study in the Preparatory Program voluntarily. Students who receive a passing grade in this exam will be eligible to take the two-day Proficiency Exam.

📌 2. English Proficiency Exam

Part 1: Written Exam (Face-to-face)

  • Date: 8 September 2026
  • Time: 09:30 – 15:00
  • Location: Şile Campus, SFL Building (Classroom and student lists will be posted at the building entrance.)

Part 2: Oral Exam (Online)

  • Date: 10 September 2026
  • Location: Online via MS Teams
  • Time & Link: The exact exam time and MS Teams link will be shared through your official Işık student email account. You can access your email at https://www.isikun.edu.tr/webmail. If you do not receive this information, please contact sflinfo@isikun.edu.tr for assistance.

(Note: All previously registered Preparatory School students who were unsuccessful in previous exams will only take the Proficiency Exam on 8–10 September.)

🚌 Transportation and Shuttle Information

  • 07 September 2026 (Monday):
    • Departure (08:00): Maslak Campus – 4th Levent – Kavacık – Metrogarden – Şile Campus | Return (12:30): Şile Campus to Maslak via the same route.
    • Departure (08:00): Kadıköy Pier Deniz Hotel Front – Kozyatağı Starbucks Front – Metrogarden – Şile Campus | Return (12:30): Şile Campus to Kadıköy via the same route.
  • 08 September 2026 (Tuesday):
    • Departure (08:00): Maslak Campus – 4th Levent – Kavacık – Metrogarden – Şile Campus | Return (15:30): Şile Campus to Maslak via the same route.
    • Departure (08:00): Kadıköy Pier Deniz Hotel Front – Kozyatağı Starbucks Front – Metrogarden – Şile Campus | Return (15:30): Şile Campus to Kadıköy via the same route.
