Student dormitories at FMV Işık University Şile Campus are becoming more and more popular with our students every year. Işık University dormitories, which also have blocks with sea and forest views, encourage community solidarity as well as allowing students to build their individual lives. Our dormitories are located in 16 buildings with a total capacity of 1455 beds for 1, 3 and 4 persons. There are also 4 rooms for students with special needs.
Dormitory staff are on duty on a 24/7 basis to ensure that student requests and identified problems are addressed in a timely manner and to ensure the general control of the dormitories. The common areas of our dormitories and the corridors where the rooms are located are recorded with a camera system for security purposes, and these recordings are examined by the authorized dormitory staff only if needed to clarify an incident and in a controlled manner. Students staying in the dormitories are obliged to comply with the Dormitory Accommodation Rules, and in case of a violation, a report is prepared by the dormitory staff, and the issues deemed necessary are taken to the agenda of the Dormitory Disciplinary Board and resolved.

In all our rooms, each student is allocated a desk, bookcase, wardrobe, cot or bunk bed, study chair and a refrigerator for each room. For safety reasons, the use of electrical devices such as stoves, radiators, stoves, ovens, ovens, air conditioners, halogen lighting, etc. are not allowed in the student rooms of our dormitories.
Study rooms are available 24/7 in our dormitories. There is a study hall in the DMF building that is open 24 hours a day. In addition, the library is also open 24 hours a day for students to do their research.
All dormitories have laundry rooms. In the laundry rooms, there are washing machines, dryers, irons, and ironing boards where students can do their own personal laundry. Our students benefit from this service free of charge.
All interior spaces of our dormitories are heated by a central heating system. The heating hours are 06.00-10.00, 13.00-15.00 and 17.00-24.00 and are revised according to weather conditions. In addition, especially during exam periods, the heaters are kept on, considering our students will be working late, and additional measures are taken according to the outdoor temperature.
Student rooms and common areas in all dormitories are cleaned by a private cleaning company in accordance with health and hygiene rules. Rooms are cleaned every other day, garbage is disposed of, and detailed room cleaning is performed once a month. Our students benefit from this service free of charge.

On our campus, two separate internet connections are used as Wired 700 Mbit/s and Wireless 400 Mbit/s. To ensure a secure, controlled, and fair distribution of this, access to the internet is provided using a username and password. Our students benefit from these two services free of charge.
In all our dormitories, there are water dispensers in common areas (including corridors) and carboy drinking water is available to our students free of charge.
In our dormitories, there are storages where students can keep their excess belongings for a certain period of time.
A private security company provides 24/7 security services throughout the campus and the buildings are also checked by the dormitory staff.
In our dormitories, there are vending machines for packaged products such as biscuits, chocolates, etc. and boxed drinks that are available 24/7 (for a fee).
All kinds of maintenance and repairs that may be required in electrical, electronic, plumbing, construction, carpentry, etc. in dormitory student rooms and common areas are carried out free of charge by special technical service teams. However, damages caused by usage errors and misuse are covered by deducting from student deposits.
Equipped with Electronic Detection and Alarm Systems against fire hazards, our dormitories have smoke detectors in all common areas and student rooms. In addition, fire extinguishers, fire cabinets and effective fire escape routing are available in our buildings. Smoke detectors are available for fire detection, and it is strictly forbidden to remove or dismantle them.
There are parking lots on our campus where our students can park their private vehicles. There are also special bicycle parking lots.
Our campus also has teams on duty 24/7 for emergencies such as health, security, and fire. The necessary on-campus phone numbers that may be required for our students are available behind all room doors in the dormitories.
