Why Choose the Işık Industrial Design Department?

The Department of Industrial Design at Işık University is known for its sector-experienced teaching staff. By the third year, fifth semester students are directed to specialize in two different areas, Product Design and Transportation Design, by taking elective courses such as furniture design, packaging design, automotive design, yacht design, etc.

Through internships and collaboration with firms, students have the opportunity to experience the process of industrial design through projects carried out in partnership with manufacturers/firms from different sectors. The program provides technical and cultural lectures by invited professionals, seminars, and national/international events in every semester. So far our students have achieved different awards and degrees in various design competitions. Some of our graduates continue their higher education in different universities both in Türkiye and abroad. The majority of our graduates are working as in-house designers or freelance designers in different sectors.
