Işık University's Support for Blood Donation Campaign

Blood is an invaluable material in medical treatment, which is only obtained from human beings. However, the amount of donated and stored blood does not meet current needs due to the low number of voluntary blood donors.

All members of the Işık community filled the Işık University infirmary on 6 November, 2012 for blood donation with a meaningful slogan: "We may not save the whole world, but we can save one life." The campaign aimed to underline the importance of voluntary blood donation in the field of social responsibility. The large group of students consisting of voluntary blood donors donated blood between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Blood donation campaigns annually carried out by Işık University in previous years will continue to be regularly implemented in the following years. With the aim to increase the number of conscious and regular donors, the first campaign of the years was realized with keen participation.
