An Academic Promotion and Appointment Ceremony was held at the Şile campus for Prof. Dr. Özlem Sıla Durhan, who has obtained the title of "Professor" by completing her academic studies in the Department of Architecture of the Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture, and Prof. Dr. Ö. Osman Demirbaş, who has been appointed as the Dean of the Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture. After the speeches of the Rector Prof. Dr. Hasan Bülent Kahraman and the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Mehmet Serdar Sarıgül, Prof. Dr. Özlem Sıla Durhan was presented her academic regalia by Rector Prof. Dr. Hasan Bülent Kahraman. Prof. Dr. Özlem Sıla Durhan, who was presented with a memorial plaque by the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Mehmet Serdar Sarıgül, then gave her first speech as a professor.

In the second part of the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Ö. Osman Demirbaş, who was appointed as the Dean of the Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture, was presented with a memorial plaque and flowers by Rector Prof. Dr. Hasan Bülent Kahraman and the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Mehmet Serdar Sarıgül. The ceremony ended after Prof. Dr. Ö. Osman Demirbaş gave a speech as the new Dean.
