Istanbul's school counselors working in education institutions in various districts came together at the School Counselors Introduction Meeting organized by Işık University on Şile campus. The opening speech of the meeting was given by Işık University Rector Prof. Dr. Hasan Bülent Kahraman, who explained the transformation, change, and new education model at Işık University to the nearly 50 school counselors in attendance. Prof. Dr. Kahraman stated that Işık University has been undergoing significant change and transformation in the past two years. He emphasized that they were trying to create a new education model at Işık University with this transformation and defined their approach as "building the future." He explained that it was no longer possible to continue education with traditional university understanding in the changing world. Therefore, Işık University implemented an interdisciplinary, integrated, and modular education model. Afterwards, they will move towards a more project-based education model, which they are still preparing for.

After Prof. Dr. Hasan Bülent Kahraman's opening speech, Prof. Dr. Onur Kaya, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, gave a presentation on the special scholarship of Işık University while Prof. Dr. Serhat Koloğlugil, Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Administrative, and Social Sciences, gave a presentation on the "University Student for A Day."

In the afternoon session of the program, Clinical Psychologist Gözde Ceylan provided psychoeducation on "Professional Self-Awareness and Self-Help" to the counselors, while Clinical Psychologist and Psychotherapist Dr. Miray Akyunus discussed exam and achievement anxiety. The last speaker of the program was Mindfulness Trainer İhsan Yelkencioğlu, who shared mindfulness concepts and practices with the guests. Following the meeting, participation certificates were presented to the counselors.
