Etik, hukuk, ahlak ve kültürel alanları ilgilendiren bu tarz sorgulamaları günlük hayatımızda sıklıkla yapmaktayız. Bu ders, bu tür soruları tartışmak amacıyla birey ve yurttaş olmanın anlamlarına değinmekte; toplumsal hayatın düzenleyici bileşenlerini ahlak, hukuk, etik ve normlar ile ilişkilendirerek tartışmakta; birey ve iktidar arasındaki ilişkiyi devlet, toplumsal cinsiyet, aile, din ve gözetim gibi konular üzerinden ele almaktadır.
