At Işık University Department of Psychology, education and research activities in both basic psychology and applied psychology are carried out simultaneously in Turkish and English. The Undergraduate Program launched in 2009 included more method courses compared to psychology programs at other universities, the establishment of an experimental and psychophysiology laboratory in 2010, and a Doctorate Program in the same field in 2017, in addition to the Clinical Psychology Master's Program launched in the 2014-15 academic year. The opening of the Center can be considered as indicators of this vision. The aim of the Psychology Undergraduate Program is; To produce graduates who can critically evaluate phenomena in sub-fields such as experimental-cognitive, developmental, social, clinical and organizational psychology, investigate these phenomena with scientific methods, and develop a psychologist identity that includes ethical values, an understanding of professional responsibility, and respect for personal and sociocultural differences.
