Examination of psychological disorders in terms of biological and psychosocial disposition as part of diathesis–stress model. Study of dimensional, descriptive and categorical approaches to classification by emphasizing the current forms of psychopathology included in the DSM-IV-TR (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders). The symptomatology, differential diagnosis, etiology, epidemiology, and treatment approaches related to various diagnostic categories. Examination of anxiety disorders, mood disorders, psychotic disorders, somatoform disorders, substance disorders, sexual disorders, eating disorders and personality disorders.

In addition to experimental and quasi-experimental design, techniques related to parametric and non-parametric, moderation and mediation analysis. Single-subject design, testing of hypothesis and experimental method, selecting appropriate statistical techniques, threats to internal and external validity and randomization with types of experimental control.
