2025–2026 Academic Year Graduation Ceremony Held with Enthusiasm

The Işık University 2025–2026 Academic Year Graduation Ceremony was held with great enthusiasm and excitement in Şile town center and on the Şile Campus of our University.

The ceremony began with the Graduation Cortege, attended by academics, graduates, and administrative staff. Starting from Şile Atatürk Square, the cortege proceeded to the front of the Şile Municipality Building on Üsküdar Street, accompanied by the applause and cheers of the people of Şile. The procession was joined by Şile District Governor Mustafa Çit, Şile Municipality Deputy Mayor Berna Avcı, District Director of Youth and Sports Bedrettin Naim Arslan, and Şile Director of National Education Dursun Teyran. On behalf of Işık University, Chairman of the Board of Trustees Mehmet Serdar Sarıgül and Acting Rector Prof. Dr. Serhat Koloğlugil laid a wreath at the Atatürk Monument.

On Saturday, May 16, graduates of the Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences and the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences were celebrated and bid farewell. The ceremony opened with speeches by Alumni Association Vice President Ozan Barış Bayraktar, Acting Rector Prof. Dr. Serhat Koloğlugil, FMV Board Member and Board of Trustees Member Murat Erbelger, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees Mehmet Serdar Sarıgül. At the ceremony, which was attended by local officials from Şile, Acting Rector Prof. Dr. Serhat Koloğlugil, Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences Prof. Dr. Özlem Kayhan Pusane, and Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences Prof. Dr. Onur Kaya congratulated the graduates.

On Sunday, May 17, the second day of the Graduation Ceremony, students of the Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture and the Vocational School experienced the joy of graduation. The opening speeches were delivered by Nida Karagöz, Member of the Board of Directors of the Alumni Association, Acting Rector Prof. Dr. Serhat Koloğlugil, Chairman of the Board of Trustees Mehmet Serdar Sarıgül, and FMV Chairman of the Board of Directors Atty. A. Akın Süel. Together with Acting Rector Prof. Dr. Serhat Koloğlugil, Dean of the Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture Prof. Dr. Adnan Uzun and Director of the Vocational School Asst. Prof. Dr. Yiğit Şerif Karabulut congratulated the graduates.

After taking their professional oaths, the graduates threw their caps into the air and took their first step into their new lives. We congratulate all our graduates and wish them success in their professional journeys.
