Water Scarcity Discussed in the Social Awareness Talks Series

Dr. Ezgican Özdemir Kelly from Özyeğin University was the guest speaker at the fourth session of the Social Awareness Talksseminar series, organized by the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences within the Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences.

The event focused on water scarcity, one of today’s major global challenges that also directly affects Türkiye, through the lens of sustainable development and water management policies. During her presentation, Dr. Özdemir Kelly emphasized that water is not only an essential resource, but also an issue closely connected to societies’ independence, identity, and understanding of social justice, offering a comprehensive evaluation of the ethical dimensions of water management.
