The Vocational School (MYO) Career Days, organized in collaboration with the Career and Alumni Office and the Vocational School, were held at the Maslak Campus from March 30 to April 3. Aimed at supporting students’ career planning, the event brought together professionals who are experts in their fields with students.
The program opened with a speech by the Director of the Vocational School, Asst. Prof. Yiğit Şerif Karabulut. This was followed by a presentation by Merve Özyurt, Director of the Career and Alumni Office, titled “Effective CV Preparation and Interview Techniques,” in which she outlined strategies for standing out in job application processes.
Reyhan Öztürk Erdem from the Istanbul Provincial Health Services Directorate, Department of Emergency Health Services, delivered a comprehensive talk titled “From Land to Sea: Career Steps in the Paramedic Profession: Ambulance, Training, and Academia,” addressing various working areas and career opportunities within the paramedic profession.
Highlighting diverse career paths in the health sector, Derya Eryaşar Kuban, Human Resources Manager at IQVIA and a 2013 graduate of Işık University’s International Relations and Business Administration programs, shared insights on current industry trends and alternative career options in her presentation “Career Journey in Health: Opportunities Beyond Healthcare Institutions.”
Entrepreneur, trainer, and author Cansın Duman, a 2012 graduate of the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, focused on entrepreneurship in the digitalizing health sector and the role of Generation Z in her talk titled “Next Generation Leadership and Entrepreneurship in Digital Health.”
Attracting strong interest from students, the Vocational School Career Days offered participants an inspiring platform to explore and shape their career paths.
