“Together We Are Beautiful” Inclusive Stage Workshop in collaboration with İZEV

Our University’s Disabled Student Unit, in cooperation with the Istanbul Foundation for Education and Solidarity for People with Intellectual Disabilities (İZEV), organized the “Together We Are Beautiful” Inclusive Stage Workshop on December 3, the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.

The program opened with speeches by Vice Rector and Head of the Disabled Student Unit Prof. Dr. Serhat Koloğlugil, İZEV Founding Member and MSGSÜ Interior Architecture Department faculty member Prof. Dr. Saadet Aytıs, and İZEV President Merve Kılıç.

During the event, İZEV youth and volunteer students from various departments of Işık University presented creative performances, including music, dance, painting, and design, aimed at fostering awareness, reducing marginalization, and promoting a more inclusive environment for all. The program concluded with a drama performance led by theater artist Aslı Nişancı.

At the end of the workshop, all participants received certificates of appreciation and participation, presented by Prof. Dr. Adnan Uzun, member of the Disabled Student Unit and Dean of the Faculty of Art, Design, and Architecture.
