Assoc. Prof. Dr. Berna Akçınar and Asst. Prof. Dr. Buket Ünver, from the Department of Psychology, Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences, have been awarded funding under the TÜBİTAK 1001 Program for their project titled “Intergenerational Transmission of Attachment: An Evaluation of the Prenatal and Postnatal Periods in terms of Mother–Child Attachment and the Child’s Social-Emotional Development.”
The scope of the project involves examining how attachment patterns are transmitted across generations. It will further investigate the impact of maternal psychological processes during the prenatal and postnatal periods on mother–child attachment and the social-emotional development of children. The project's findings are expected to contribute significantly to protective and preventive approaches in the field of early mental health.
We congratulate our esteemed academics and wish them continued success.
