"Outlook for the Turkish and Global Economy" Seminar Held

The "Outlook for the Turkish and Global Economy" seminar, organized by the Department of Economics, Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences, was successfully held.

As part of the seminar program, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sırrı Emrah Üçer from the Department of Economics at Yıldız Technical University delivered a presentation titled “A Perspective from Türkiye on Universal Public Services.” In his talk, he examined the concept of universal public services, currently at the forefront of debates in social policy, through an analysis of infrastructure-based public services such as transportation, energy, water, and communications. Within this framework, the provision of these services to citizens based on the principle of universality was critically assessed in relation to Türkiye’s economic history and large-scale infrastructure investments.
