Our Graduate and Student Selma Özgürbüz to Present Her “Less Water, Very Green – Zero Waste” Project at COP31

06 November 2026

Selma Özgürbüz, a graduate of the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design and a current graduate student in the Interior Architecture Program, will participate in the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP31) with her initiative, Selvage, presenting her project “Less Water, Very Green – Zero Waste”.

As part of COP31, which will take place in Antalya from 9 to 20 November 2026, our student will lead workshops and hands-on activities centred on the theme of zero waste. Exploring the relationship between soil, compost, water and plants, as well as the reuse of organic waste, the project brings together sustainable environmental practices and the discipline of design. Guided by the “Less Water, Very Green – Zero Waste” approach, these activities aim to raise environmental awareness and strengthen the connection between design and sustainable living practices.

We congratulate our student on her participation and wish her every success with her work at COP31.
