“The Shen,” a monumental sculpture by our 2013 Visual Arts Department alumnus Mert Ege Köse, was showcased at the Forever Is Now V exhibition at the Giza Pyramids.
The project, presented through the collaboration of AWC Contemporary and AsaşSanat and curated by Ayça Okay, stood out as one of the notable works in an exhibition featuring distinguished artists from around the world. Inspired by the ancient Egyptian Shen symbol, the piece reimagines the concepts of timelessness and wholeness through its powerful form and luminous surfaces.
We congratulate our alumnus, Mert Ege Köse, on this remarkable achievement on an international stage.
