The Işık University Career Fair 2025, organized by the Directorate of Career and Alumni Office, took place on Wednesday, October 15th, at the Şile Campus with remarkable participation. Bringing together students, alumni, and representatives from the business world, the event served as an inspiring platform for future professionals.
This year’s fair, featuring sectors connected to three faculties, hosted 30 prominent companies. Leading Turkish firms such as TAV Airports Holding, PwC, Turkish Airlines, Anadolu Sigorta, Siemens, TeknoSA, ebebek, and Toyota Turkey met one-on-one with students, providing them with opportunities to explore potential job and internship placements.
Our alumni also played a key role throughout the event. The human resources representatives from participating companies such as Ebebek, Siemens, Anadolu Sigorta, TAV Holding, and Erkekoğlu Pres Makina were all Işık University graduates, offering both strong role models and valuable networking opportunities for current students.
A highlight of the fair was the interview simulation organized by Turkish Airlines, which attracted significant interest. Coordinated by the Career and Alumni Office, the activity gave students a chance to experience a realistic job interview process. Thanks to the feedback provided, they are now better equipped for future internship and job interviews.
Two seminars were also held as part of the event. Sena Alkan, a 2008 Business Administration graduate and Assistant HR Manager at TAV Holding, met with students in a session titled “From Campus to Career Journey: A Graduate’s Story at TAV Holding,” where she shared her inspiring career path. In addition, career coach Zühal Yiğit led a workshop titled “A Shining CV, A Shining Career,” helping students master CV preparation and LinkedIn profile development through practical exercises.
The fair offered much more than a networking opportunity, providing a comprehensive learning experience that supported students’ professional growth. Student clubs also set up booths to present their projects, engaging directly with companies to explore sponsorship and collaboration opportunities. In doing so, our students enhanced both their individual and community-based professional skills.
Merve Özyurt, Director of the Career and Alumni Office, emphasized that the participating companies are involved in national and international projects, noting that the goal is to prepare FMV Işık University students as individuals with a global career vision. She stated: “Bringing our students together with esteemed companies at the Career Fair, where they could demonstrate their personal competencies, was one of our key objectives and we achieved it successfully. We will continue to lead with innovation and organize events that illuminate the career paths of our young talents.”
Işık University remains committed to providing an innovative and inspiring educational environment through events that empower and guide students along their career journeys.
