Işık University has established the Turkish Language Teaching, Application and Research Center (Işık TÖMER) to provide Turkish language education at international standards.
Backed by the assurance of a long-established university, Işık TÖMER offers a modern, communication-oriented learning experience aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). It welcomes international students, academics, and anyone wishing to learn Turkish, bringing together individuals from diverse cultures through a student-centered and culturally interactive approach.
The program consists of four levels, from A1 to B2, each lasting six weeks. C1 courses may be opened depending on demand. Classes are held four days a week, five hours per day- a total of 20 hours per week and 120 hours per level. Student progress is assessed through quizzes, oral evaluations, and end-of-course exams. Successful participants receive a course completion certificate.
At the end of the program, students take the Turkish Proficiency Exam (TYS) and, upon successful completion, receive a Turkish Proficiency Certificate recognized by all universities in the Republic of Türkiye.
Işık TÖMER offers a strong and supportive learning environment for everyone who wishes to learn Turkish effectively and accurately.
