Happy April 23rd National Sovereignty and Children's Day

On this special day, which marks the opening of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye and the affirmation of the nation’s will, the importance of national sovereignty was once again underscored during the commemorative ceremony.

The ceremony began with Acting Rector Prof. Dr. Serhat Koloğlugil laying a wreath at the Atatürk bust and continued with his address highlighting the significance of the day. In his speech, he emphasized that even under the most challenging conditions of the national struggle, the principle that sovereignty belongs to the nation was upheld, and that the Assembly established under the leadership of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk represents not only a historical milestone but also a set of values to be carried forward into the future.

We commemorate all the heroes of the national struggle, foremost among them Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, with respect, gratitude, and reverence.
