Collaborative Project with Singidunum University, Belgrade within the scope of COST action

Prof. Dr. Rabia Karakaya Polat, our faculty member in the Department of International Relations, conducted an academic study visit to the Faculty of Media and Communications at Singidunum University in Belgrade between June 4–17, 2025. The visit was supported by the COST Action CA20107 project (Connecting Theory and Practical Issues of Migration and Religious Diversity).

During the visit, an interdisciplinary research project was initiated with host academic Prof. Jasna Milošević Đorđević, focusing on the emotional and conspiratorial dimensions of anti-migration discourse in Türkiye. The project aims to explore how conspiracy theories targeting refugees are constructed, combining perspectives from political discourse analysis and social psychology.

We would like to thank Prof. Dr. Rabia Karakaya Polat for her valuable contributions to advancing international academic cooperation. As part of this collaboration, an Erasmus exchange agreement with Singidunum University will also be signed.
