14 October 2026

A series of activities was organized at the Şile Campus to raise students’ awareness of addiction and provide information on ways to combat it.

As part of these activities, a seminar titled “Adaptation Skills in University Life: Ways to Cope with Addiction” was organized in collaboration with the Psychological Counseling and Guidance Center and the Anti-Addiction Commission. Delivered by Clinical Psychologist Gözde Ceylan, the seminar addressed the process of adapting to university life and methods of coping with addiction.

In another event organized in cooperation with the Anti-Addiction Commission and the Şile District Police Department, students visited the Narkotır (Narcotics Truck) Mobile Information Vehicle. Through the informational activities carried out inside the vehicle, students gained greater awareness of efforts to combat addiction.

The events supported students in accessing accurate information about addiction and raising their awareness of risk factors, while emphasizing the importance of awareness-raising activities in addiction prevention. These activities aimed to help students adopt healthy lifestyle habits and develop the skills needed to cope with potential challenges they may encounter during their university life.
