The course programs at FMV Işık University Turkish Teaching Practice and Research Center (Işık-TÖMER) are designed based on the six language levels defined by the European Language Portfolio (ELP). Courses are conducted in six-week terms. The center offers a Turkish preparatory class as well as courses open to external participants.
Before entering the preparatory class, it is mandatory to take a Placement Test.
Course registration can only be frozen if a valid excuse is provided. Requests made later will not be accepted, and no refund will be given for the term not attended.
At Işık-TÖMER, courses are held 12 months a year, four days a week, excluding national and religious holidays. Lessons canceled due to reasons originating from the center are compensated by our instructors.
Students/participants are required to attend at least 70% of the classes.
For courses with exams, as well as certificate and diploma courses, a Course Completion Exam covering four skills is administered during the last four hours of each term. Participants who pass all skills progress to the next level.
