EDUCATION AIMS

1. Turkish programme students acquire the minimum level of English that will help them.

2. By means of the elective courses, art students become competent in the English language that will help them jobs after they graduate.

Developing students' reading/listening comprehension; written/spoken abilities towards 'Basic User' level defined as A1 level by the Common European Framework Criteria (CEF)

A balance of grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and skills teaching is given through information- rich topics and texts. The tasks are designed to help students to feel a sense of progress while the number of situations they can communicate effectively increase. 

The course provides students an opportunity to directly apply the skills they are learning and get immediate feedback to measure their progress.
All assessment materials are scaled to increase the level of difficulty as the course progresses. The course objectives are assessed through assignments, quizzes, and a final exam.
