Why Choose the Işık University Fashion and Textile Design Department?


Işık University's Fashion and Textile Design Department was established as part of the Faculty of Fine Arts in 2007. The main aim of the department is to educate contemporary, progressive, sensitive and enthusiastic young designers. The program of the Fashion and Textile Design Department consists heavily of fashion design courses. Students of the department are encouraged to develop their own individual inclinations, abilities and creativity. All students of the department are directed towards domestic events and events abroad, including fashion and textile fairs, workshops, educational excursions, and art exhibitions. Also, these students take different vocational, technical, complementary, artistic and cultural courses during their studies. Students of the Fashion and Textile Design Department have the opportunity to study in other departments as part of a double major or minor program. After graduation, all students may work with the title of fashion and textile designer in a number of fields.
