Electronics Lab.

Electronics laboratory is used for examining operating principles of the electronic devices and obtaining the characteristics of electronic circuit components. Design and practical applications of power supplies, amplifiers, oscillators and various digital electronic circuits are studied. Students can realize fundamental electronics applications and projects in the electronics laboratory.

Experiments and Applications

Introduction to Semiconductor Junction Diodes Characteristics and Applications.
General semiconductor diode characterictics are obtained and some diode application circuits such as clamping, clipping, rectifier etc. are designed and examined with measurement equipments like oscilloscope and signal generators. Characteristics of zener diodes and rectifier circuits are also examined.

Bipolar Junction Transistor (BJT) Characteristics and Common Emitter Amplifier
BJT terminals and basic characteristics are examined. The properties of a common emitter amplifier are investigated. AC/DC voltages, voltage gain, input/output impedance, lower and upper cut-off frequencies of the amplifier are measured.

Junction Field Effect Transistor (JFET) Characteristics and Common Source Amplifier
The characteristics of the Junction Field Effect Transistors (JFET) are examined. The properties of a common source amplifier are investigated . AC/DC voltages, voltage gain, input/output impedance, lower and upper cut-off frequencies of the amplifier are measured.

Properties and Applications of Operational Amplifiers
Properties and performance characteristics like gain, offset voltage, slew rate, frequency response of operational amplifiers are investigated. Some of the op-amp applications are studied as well.

Power Amplifiers
Some transistor power amplifiers like Class A,B and AB types are studied and their characteristics values are measured.

Oscillators
Construct several simple oscillator circuits and measure their waveform characteristics

Feedback Amplifiers
Different kinds of feedback amplifiers are constructed and their effects are obtained
