Işık University's part time instructor Prof. Dr. Yusuf Yağcı wins a science award from Japan

The Japan Polimer Society awarded its "2007 International Science Award" to Prof. Dr. Yusuf Yağcı (Istanbul Technical University). The award is for his contribution to the development of the use of light (ultraviolet or visible) in solidifying a new type of environmentally sensitive plastic. The award ceremony for Prof. Dr. Yağcı will be held in the Japanese city of Yokohama on May 29, 2008.

Prof. Dr. Yağcı has been teaching CHEM 101 to our university's students for many years.
